Grumpy Cat amasses US$100m fortune, remains grumpy

The internet's grumpiest and most loved cat has made its owner nearly US$100 million.

The cat, named Tardar Sauce, rose to global fame when she featured in a YouTube video two years ago, amassing 15.7 million views. Since then, the Grumpy Cat's face has been the subject of countless memes, books and even a movie. Tardar Sauce's latest claim to fame is that she's made more money than A-list celebrities such as Nicole Kidman or Matthew McConaughey.

Owner Tabatha Bundesen, from Arizona, says she was able to quit her job as a waitress just two days after the YouTube video went viral.
